PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v BIRMINGHAM (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn are targeting a double over Birmingham as the sides meet at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Thursday) in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.

The Stars won 47-43 at Perry Barr on Monday and will now look for three more points against the Brummies, with another home match to come against Oxford next week.

The home side expect to be at full strength with the return of Ben Cook, who will be at reserve, whilst the visitors operate rider replacement for Jonas Jeppesen (illness) whilst Simon Lambert replaces Ben Barker who is ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Stars manager Rob Lyon said: “I spoke to Ben (Cook) on Monday and he’s all good to go for Thursday night, no problems there, and it will be good to get back to full strength.

“I know it’s been tough for Birmingham, and it’s very sad to see them having to close. I felt the racing on Monday was pretty good in parts, and obviously we were pleased to get the win there.

“We’ve got four home matches to go, and we want to finish strongly. The match against Leicester recently wasn’t like us at all, and we’re keen to get another win and three points.”

Brummies boss Chris Adams said: “The effort from the lads was there on Monday and I don’t think we deserved to lose. The track was a lot better this week and we saw some decent racing at times.

“But that one’s gone now, the meetings are running out and we need to give a good account of ourselves in these last couple of weeks.”
