PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v LEICESTER (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Belle Vue hand a debut to new signing Jason Doyle in tonight’s (Monday) clash with second placed Leicester.

Doyle has joined the Aces as a replacement for the injured Dan Bewley, and he comes in for the meeting at the National Speedway Stadium which sees both sides tracking full line-ups.

The home side also have Peter Kildemand back from injury following his successful Championship return with Berwick at the weekend, whilst the Lions have Dan Thompson returning from a broken collarbone.

Belle Vue boss Mark Lemon said: “Jason brings a wealth of experience around UK tracks, and our younger riders will benefit greatly from having someone of his calibre in the team.

“Leicester have been performing well and I am sure they will be much stronger than they were when they visited here on Easter Monday.

“They have genuine strength in depth and we will need to be at our best from the very first heat.”

Lions manager Stewart Dickson said: “Belle Vue is always a difficult place to go, and we were well beaten there on Easter Monday although that was our first match of the season and it was important not to over-react to that result.

“Aggregate points are very important in this league and the first priority is to look to keep things as tight as possible for when they come back to our track next month.

“Obviously if there’s an opportunity for more then we’ll do all we can to take it, and I would certainly expect a better performance than we managed back in April.”
