LOUIS: IT WILL BE HUGELY COMPETITIVE
IPSWICH promoter Chris Louis expects the fight for the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership title to be even closer next season.
This year, the top four teams were separated by just eight points in the final league table and Louis – whose own Witches side is already strongly tipped – says he expects serious challenges from elsewhere.
Injuries badly hampered the Foxhall club in 2024, but they will return next spring with six of the seven riders who started this season with the Suffolk outfit.
Louis said: “Looking at the teams that have been announced and I know about, it is going to be hugely competitive. I don’t think we will see the weaker teams we saw on occasions last season.
“As a league, it is going to be very entertaining and quite difficult. There are teams that are built quite differently, so that will add a bit of intrigue.
“There’s a definite feeling I’m getting from the (Ipswich) team that there’s unfinished business, and they all wanted to come back and complete the job.
“So I don’t think you can get a better grounding for a team coming into a season than that. I’m quite excited to be going back into battle with the same guys.”
