BOUGHEN DEPARTS CHEETAHS

OXFORD have announced teenage racer Ashton Boughen is leaving Sandy Lane – despite previously naming him in their Cab Direct Championship team for next season.

Boughen rode for the club at both senior levels this year and whilst he has moved to King’s Lynn as Rising Star in the top-flight, he was expected to remain with the Cheetahs in the second tier.

A club statement said: “Unfortunately, Ashton Boughen will not be riding for the Oxford Cheetahs in 2025, despite originally agreeing to return.

“We wish him well in the future. Ashton has plenty of potential to become a successful British speedway rider.”
