KLINDT IS FOXES SKIPPER

NORTHAMPTON Foxes have named Nicolai Klindt as their club captain ahead of their opening meeting at King’s Lynn on Monday.

The experienced Danish star takes the role for British Speedway’s newest club having led their first opponents to the KO Cup Final last season.

Manager Chris Adams said: “I’ve lived virtually next to Nicolai for the last 15 years, so we have a close-knit bond and I class him as a friend.

“That’s not the reason why he’s got the captaincy job, but he’s just someone who I know very well and who is very good around the other riders.

“He’s also very good in the media, and when he’s talking during the live coverage of the sport, and he definitely fits the bill.”
