HAWKINS CHASING DERBY DOUBLE

IPSWICH manager Ritchie Hawkins has fired the opening salvoes ahead of Thursday’s local derby trip to King’s Lynn in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.

Hawkins says the league leaders are determined to complete the double over the Stars, with the visitors having booked in-form Tom Brennan to guest for the injured Danny King.

Said Hawkins: “We are very much looking forward to our visit to King’s Lynn and we are hoping for a dry forecast so we can get some racing on.

“We are on a long winning streak home and away in the league against our local rivals and we know how important it is to beat King’s Lynn for everyone at the club but also, they are bottom of the league.

“Points wise and in the race for the play-offs it is important to win, and we are looking to walk away with three points, but they certainly showed at Belle Vue on Monday their capabilities with a great performance.”
