DOUGLAS ANKLE BLOW
LEICESTER star Ryan Douglas is facing a month on the sidelines – ruling him out of an Australian title bid next month.
Douglas suffered ankle ligament damage in a motocross training accident, and he will be unable to compete in the four-round national series which starts on January 3.
His focus is now on regaining full fitness ahead of his return to Europe, and the new ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign, with a big date in his calendar being his Testimonial at Beaumont Park on Saturday March 22.
Douglas said: “I won’t be able to compete in the upcoming meetings in Australia as I need to take a month off to recover.
“Not the news I wanted to share, but I’ll be back and ready to go soon.”
