CONTINUITY SUITS LIONS

LEICESTER manager Stewart Dickson says he’s happy with the continuity within the side he has assembled for 2025.

The Lions will go into the new season with just one change from the team which finished runners-up in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership this year, as Kyle Howarth comes in to replace Richard Lawson who has joined King’s Lynn.

Dickson said: “With the 40-point remaining the same, Leicester and one or two other teams have had to shed a couple of points, so we always knew we were going to have to lose one of our top five no matter what we did.

“We were two points above the limit, so we had to make a change to get back under, and people have to remember this is the price you pay for finishing second in the league.

“We’ve made minimal changes and been loyal to the riders, and the riders have also been loyal to us. I think coming back to Leicester will do Kyle the world of good, and the other riders are settled here and know what they’re coming back to.

“We should be very solid again and for me, I’m happy with what we’ve got.”
