PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v BELLE VUE (Prem)
WOLVERHAMPTON and Belle Vue meet for a second consecutive week in the Premiership – this time at Monmore Green tonight (Monday).
The Aces won 51-39 in Manchester last time out to go back to the top of the table, and it was their first victory in nine matches against their rivals from the West Midlands.
Wolves saw Nick Morris crash out last week, but he is included in a full-strength side tonight, whilst Matej Zagar moves to the No.1 position for Belle Vue who are without skipper Brady Kurtz due to illness.
Wolves skipper Sam Masters said: “We’re doing okay at the minute, but as a team we’ve just got to keep going.
“It will be good to get a good run of home meetings in, and it’s a good chance for us to add some points to the league.
“It would be an advantage if we could send all of them home with nothing as well, but as long as we make sure we do enough to win, that’s the main thing.”
Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “The recent performance against Wolverhampton was very satisfying. It’s been a long time coming and the boys did a fantastic job.
“Monday is a new day and I’m sure (Wolves boss) Pete Adams wants to see a repeat display on home soil.
“But I think we’ve got some decent momentum behind us to get a result on the road. We have the collective skill to succeed at Monmore Green.”
