PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v KENT (NDL)

BELLE VUE can strengthen their position in the NDL play-offs with a win over Kent at the National Speedway Stadium tonight (Friday).

The Colts are currently fourth in the table, five points ahead of the Royals who do have two matches in hand.

Belle Vue are without in-form Harry McGurk who is on Championship duty with Plymouth, and they bring in Sam Hagon to guest.

Meanwhile the Royals’ injury concerns show no sign of easing with Dan Thompson booked to guest for Alfie Bowtell at No.1, and there are also appearances for Dean Douglas and Jack Shimelt along with rider replacement for Sam Woolley, whilst Greg Blair replaces Ben Morley who has a Championship commitment.

Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “This is getting down to crunch time for us and I think our success or failure at making the play-offs will come down to our last few away fixtures.

“We know we’re strong at home. We’re unbeaten at home and it is equally important that that also remains the case over the next few weeks.

“We’re confident it will be another excellent meeting and we hope to see people turn out in force to support the boys at this crucial stage of our season.”

BELLE VUE: Jack Smith, Sam Hagon, Jake Mulford, Sam McGurk, Nathan Ablitt, Archie Freeman, Freddy Hodder.
KENT: Dan Thompson, Sam Woolley R/R, Danno Verge, Dean Douglas, Greg Blair, Chris Watts, Jack Shimelt.
