COLTS END ON A HIGH

BELLE Vue finished with a flourish as their Colts team took a 46-44 win from their final NDL fixture of the season at Kent.

Dan Gilkes scored 15-point maximum for the Royals, but the visitors took victory with a solid display led by Jack Parkinson-Blackburn on 12 points and former Kent rider Connor Coles picked up 10+1.

Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “Earlier this year they came to the National Speedway Stadium and won a comprehensive victory, so it’s very satisfying to do the same to them.

“The boys rode their hearts out and we couldn’t have asked for a better result from any of them.

“And while we’re not top of the table, we can at least be satisfied that our boys have given everything they had to pull off this victory.”
