PREVIEW: KENT v KING’S LYNN (NDT)

KENT Eagles host King’s Lynn at Iwade today (Sunday) in a meeting which could decide the National Development Trophy title.

The competition will be won by one of these two sides with the Young Stars strong favourites, and an away win will make them uncatchable, whilst victory for Eagles will keep the battle going.

The home side being in Darryl Ritchings to guest for the injured Nathan Ablitt and a late change sees Dayle Wood replace Vinnie Foord at No.1.

Meanwhile the Young Stars’ reserve duo of Calum Mitchell and Harrison Rogers are both unavailable, and they are replaced by Kenzie Cossey and Jordy Loftus.

Kent manager David Graveling said: “With a late change to bring in Darryl and a scare with Charlie (Wood), it’s been something of a stressful build up, but we are 100 per cent focused on beating the Young Stars on Sunday and continuing our path to hopefully win this Trophy.

“It is all shaping up to be a great contest and an epic match, one in which we hope our supporters will turn up in their numbers and prove to be our eighth rider.”

King’s Lynn boss Jason Pipe said: “The minimum requirement from us is to go and get the aggregate point at least, and defeat Plymouth at home next week and claim all three points.

“It would be great though if we could go to Kent and get the win and then we’d be able to celebrate with our own fans next week. That is the plan. But as we know, best laid plans and all that!”
