WOMEN’S GOLD TROPHY THIS WEEKEND

THE former Grand Prix venue of Donji Kraljevec in Croatia is hosting the FIM Women’s Speedway Gold Trophy on Saturday July 12 where Great Britain will be represented by Rachel Hellowell.

Having competed in the same event in 2024, Hellowell is currently ranked fifth in the world.

13 riders are competing this year representing seven different nations, with Germany having six strong competitors which includes the current World No.1 Celina Liebmann and Patrica Erhart who competed in the SGP2 Qualifier at Glasgow in May.

As well as the Gold Trophy there is also an Academy taking place for all the female competitors over the previous two days.

This is to also include female 250cc riders, and features British Youth Rider Demi Blu Harris who has made the 2000-mile round trip.
