KEMP TO SKIPPER BANDITS

BERWICK have handed Drew Kemp their club captaincy following the serious injures sustained by Danyon Hume last weekend.

Kemp will take over for the Bandits’ trip to Oxford on Wednesday as Hume faces lengthy time out after successful surgery on two fractured vertebrae.

Said Kemp: “I’ll be honest, captaincy wasn’t on my bingo card at all!

“It’s not come in ideal circumstances after what happened to Danyon, but I am looking forward to it.

“It’s probably good for me to be honest, some people say I’m too individualistic and the captaincy means I will need to get a bit more involved.”
