BRITISH Speedway sends our condolences to the Isle of Wight (Wightlink Warriors) Shale Track Racing Club following the sad passing of their team manager Steve Piper.

The club announced the news over the weekend, saying: “Steve was a person who never gave up despite many challenges, who was an inspiration to many of us, and a great leader.

“Steve was extremely talented and a man who despite several setbacks was always positive and a true inspiration to wheelchair users.”

Our thoughts are with Steve’s family and friends, and all at the Isle of Wight at this difficult time.
