FIVE BRITS CHASE SGP2 PROGRESS

THREE SGP2 Qualifiers take place today (Saturday) which is the World Championship for Under-21 riders.

Qualifiers take place at Pardubice in the Czech Republic, Krsko in Slovenia and Fjelsted in Denmark.

Great Britian have five representatives across the three qualifiers, including last weekend’s European Under-19 Finalists William Cairns and Luke Harrison.

Cairns is the sole British representative in Krsko, whilst Harrison travels to Fjelsted with that meeting also including Luke Killeen. Meanwhile Ace Pijper and Max Perry are in Pardubice.

Only the top four from each round will qualify for the SGP2 Finals which start at Malilla in Sweden on July 10 followed by rounds at Lodz (Poland) July 31 and Vojens (Denmark) on September 11. 

Other riders attached to British clubs competing in today’s qualifiers are Oxford’s Mitch McDiarmid in Pardubice, Glasgow’s Mario Hausl and Workington’s Niklas Holm Jakobsen in Krsko, and Workington’s Tate Zischke in Fjelsted.
