BRITS REACH 250cc FINAL
GREAT Britain’s William Cairns and Cooper Rushen have both qualified for European 250cc Final in Hungary.
Cairns won semi-final 1 on Saturday with a 15-point maximum, and Rushen finished third in semi-final 2 with a score of 13 points.
Cairns went untroubled in his semi and sets himself up nicely to be in contention for another rostrum place finish in the Final, after also collecting a bronze medal in last week’s SGP3 Final.
Rushen also had a fantastic semi, only dropping two points from his five rides, which included a win over newly crowned SGP3 Champion Maksymilian Pawelczak, which was the Pole’s only defeat of the day.
GB’s other representative Caydin Martin, who was making his European debut, found conditions tough and failed to qualify from semi-final 1.
The FIM European 250cc Final takes place on Sunday afternoon, once again at Debrecen.
