BRITS PROGRESS AT MACON

GREAT Britain are through to the FIME European Pairs Final after finishing a strong second in Saturday’s semi-final in France.

In-form Will Cairns starred at Macon with a 15-point maximum from his five rides as GB ended the meeting on 22 points, five short of winners Denmark.

Luke Harrison added five points with Cooper Rushen on two from three outings, whilst Edinburgh’s Paco Castagna led Italy to third place and the final qualification place on 21.

GB were three points clear of fourth-placed Norway, and their young team can now prepare for the Final at Polish venue Grudziadz on October 10.
