BEWLEY HOPES FOR SPECIAL FINAL
GREAT Britain go for gold in the FIM Speedway World Cup Final at Polish venue Wroclaw tonight.
GB sailed through their semi-final with a comfortable win on Tuesday but the decider is set to present a huge test with top-class line-ups representing all four nations.
Hosts Poland enter the competition for the first time with Denmark, who won the second semi-final, joined by Australia who dominated Friday’s Race-Off.
GB bosses Simon Stead and Oliver Allen have elected to name Belle Vue’s Dan Bewley in the No.5 position, which enables him to be brought into the meeting in specific races at the managers’ discretion.
Bewley said: “There is just something special about this meeting. As a fan, you have a rider to support in each race.
“I think the best meeting we have out of all of them. As we only have it every few years, it’s going to be a pretty special one.”
