PREVIEW: LEICESTER v SCUNTHORPE (PO QF)

LEICESTER will be without Hans Andersen for the re-arranged second leg of their play-off quarter-final against Scunthorpe tonight (Tuesday). The Lions are in control of the tie having won by 18 points at the Eddie Wright Raceway but will use rider-replacement for the Dane who crashed out at Belle Vue on Monday.

Scunthorpe bring in James Shanes and Connor Mountain to guest for Tero Aarnio and Theo Pijper, with r/r in operation for Thomas Jorgensen, but Adam Ellis is back at No.1.

Leicester star Ryan Douglas said: “We’ve got to finish the job, we don’t want to look like we haven’t had a great meeting for the other teams who could still have to come here – we want to look like we’re strong at home still.

“We definitely want to put in a good performance and set a line for the next meetings.”
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Due to Saturday’s unfortunate call off, we now have Adam Ellis back in this meeting.

“We’re realistic enough to realise that we’re not going to go through on aggregate, but hopefully it now means we can finish the season with a battling performance against Leicester, and who knows – we might even be able to get our first win in six attempts against Lions in 2021.”

LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Dan Thompson, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Hans Andersen R/R, Joe Thompson, Zaine Kennedy.
SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis, Simon Lambert, Jordan Palin, James Shanes, Thomas Jorgensen R/R, Josh MacDonald, Connor Mountain.
