PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v REDCAR (PO QF)
EDINBURGH make a third attempt to stage their play-off quarter-final with Redcar at Armadale tonight (Tuesday).
The Monarchs lead by 12 points going into the meeting, with a semi-final against Glasgow awaiting the winners.
The Bears will operate rider-replacement for James Sarjeant who crashed out last Friday and have Ben Barker on stand-by to guest for Michael Palm Toft should the Dane be ruled out.
Edinburgh boss Alex Harkess said: “We haven’t completed the quarter-final yet, so we want to get that out of the way before thinking ahead.
“If we are heading for Glasgow again in the play-offs, I am sure we will do better than we did last Sunday in the Knockout Cup.”
Redcar youngster Jordan Jenkins said: “We can go up there with the pressure on them as we have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
“Edinburgh are a good side, especially at home but they have lost at home this season so pulling it back is definitely achievable for us.”
