PREVIEW: EASTBOURNE v KENT (KOC)

EASTBOURNE boss Trevor Geer is calling for maximum concentration to build a lead when they host Kent in the KO Cup today (Sunday).

Geer is aware of the Arlington ability and leadership of Kings skipper Scott Nicholls, who had a season with the Eagles in 2008.

The visitors have booked Broc Nicol to guest for the injured Cameron Heeps, whilst Jack Thomas comes in at reserve for Dan Gilkes who was away with GB yesterday.

Geer said: “There is plenty of fight in this year’s team and we are going to need that against Kent to ensure we have a healthy lead for the second leg.

“In Scott Nicholls, the Kings have a real Arlington track expert. He’s been a thorn in our side on many occasion, none more so than when he rode for Leicester in 2019.”

EASTBOURNE: Edward Kennett, Tom Brennan, Kyle Newman, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Jason Edwards, Drew Kemp.
KENT: Scott Nicholls, Paul Hurry, Paul Starke, Tom Bacon, Broc Nicol, Cameron Heeps, Jack Thomas.
