THOMSEN BACK FOR PIRATES

POOLE will be boosted by the return of Tobias Thomsen for the first leg of their MAXiCab KO Cup semi-final against Glasgow on Wednesday.

Thomsen missed the Pirates’ final league fixture at Oxford last week after a crash when guesting for Plymouth, but he will be back for a huge clash against the Tigers with the two sides firmly in the race for multiple items of silverware this season.

Promoter Dan Ford said: “We are delighted to have Tobias back for us. He has been hitting some good form of late and we all remember how he came to the fore in the big meetings of the season last year.

“I am hoping that we can set our stall out against Glasgow and do a similar job on them as we did to Oxford in the BSN semi-final first leg a fortnight ago.”
