RISS RETURNS FOR CHEETAHS

OXFORD have announced the return of Erik Riss ahead of the final home match of their league campaign against Workington on Wednesday.

Riss has been sidelined for the majority of the 2026 campaign with a recurrence of health issues which have left him with impaired vision.

An Oxford statement said: “After a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Erik feels he is back to a level of fitness that allows him to resume his place in the team for the final home meeting fixture of the season for the Cheetahs. It’s great to have Erik back.

 “We thank Edward Kennett for stepping in during Erik’s absence.”
