PREVIEW: GLASGOW v REDCAR (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

GLASGOW race the first of three remaining home meetings tonight (Friday) as they face Redcar looking to further solidify their Cab Direct Championship play-off position.

The Tigers are currently second in the league table, four points clear of the Bears who are the best placed team outside the top four.

The home side bring in Reid Battye to guest for the injured Mario Hasul but are otherwise at full strength, with Redcar travelling north with their regular line-up.

Glasgow manager Cami Brown said: “We are obviously still on a bit of a high after the late comeback at Edinburgh to pick up two points. It will be nice to carry that feelgood factor at Ashfield. 

“We have to pull out all the stops against our nearest play-off challengers Redcar. It’s now our biggest meeting of the season. If we can get that win, we are almost in the top four and play-offs.

“If we win our remaining home meetings, we will be in the top four, we know that. But that won’t be easy against Redcar, Poole and Scunthorpe. They are all very good sides. 

“Redcar are a very good side with strength from one to seven and all of them seem to like it at Ashfield.”
