PREVIEW: GLASGOW v EDINBURGH (SCOTTISH CUP)
GLASGOW and Edinburgh take a break from the race for play-off qualification when they contest the first leg of the Scottish Cup at Ashfield tonight (Saturday).
The Tigers are the current holders of the silverware with last season’s encounters seeing both sides collect narrow away wins.
The hosts bring in Drew Kemp at No.1 to guest for the injured Kyle Howarth, whilst the Monarchs have Tate Zischke guesting for Paco Castagna who is on Italian Championship duty.
Glasgow manager Cami Brown said: “The Monarchs produced a wonderful performance in early May to knock us out of the BSN Series.
“They have riders who can produce their best scoring displays at Ashfield and we need to be wary of that.
“We were delighted to win back the Scottish Cup last season. Naturally we want to retain it, but these derbies are very hard to predict.
“There is absolutely no doubt we will have to dig deep to win and hopefully build up a decent margin to defend at Armadale later in the season.”
GLASGOW: Drew Kemp, Mario Hausl, Chris Harris, Kevin Juhl Pedersen, Leon Flint, Sam Hagon, Freddy Hodder.
EDINBURGH: Dan Thompson, Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Tate Zischke, Kye Thomson, Mitch Cluff, Jordy Loftus.
