PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v SCUNTHORPE (Cab Direct Champ P/O Group A)

EDINBURGH commence their home Cab Direct Championship play-off programme against Scunthorpe tonight (Saturday, 7pm).

The Monarchs lost their opener at the Eddie Wright Raceway last week leaving the Scorpions strong favourites for the aggregate point, but the visitors arrive with an away win essential after losing at home to Poole on Friday.

Justin Sedgmen again steps in at No.1 for Edinburgh as a guest for the suspended Craig Cook, with the sides otherwise at full strength.

Monarchs captain Josh Pickering said: “We all know what we have to do to try and get to that pointy end of the field at the right time.

“We can only hope all the bad luck is behind us and we can all keep picking up points and we will see where that takes us.”

EDINBURGH: Justin Sedgmen, Lasse Fredriksen, Kye Thomson, Paco Castagna, Josh Pickering, Dayle Wood, Bastian Borke.
SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Connor Mountain, Simon Lambert, Jake Allen, Michael Palm Toft, Nathan Ablitt, Drew Kemp.
