MONARCHS RE-SIGN SEDGMEN

EDINBURGH have confirmed Australian star Justin Sedgmen will be back in a heat-leader position for the Monarchs next season.

Sedgmen will be going into a sixth campaign across three spells with the clubs, and he is optimistic they can build on a positive 2025 which saw them reach the Cab Direct Championship play-offs.

He said: “I think the way the team was structured in 2025 was a step in the right direction, and from what I have been told of the team for next year I think we can do even better.

“Last season we probably only had two meetings where we all clicked together, and we were still unlucky to get knocked out in the semi in the last heat at Glasgow.

“That will spur us on even more and I think with the additions to the team we have the right balance to challenge.”
