BANDITS RE-SIGN MORRIS

MAXiCAB KO Cup Final star Nick Morris has agreed a new deal to remain in Berwick colours for the 2027 season.

Morris, who scored a paid maximum in the Bandits’ first leg win over Plymouth on Saturday, joins fellow Australian Reid Battye as a confirmed starter for the Shielfield Park side next year.

He returned to British speedway in August 2025 after a two-year ban, and has built himself back up to heat leader level with a string of high scores.

Morris said: “I am really happy that Berwick wanted me back. I really love riding at Shielfield Park and while I know there was a bit of interest in me, this is the club that brought me over and backed me after a tough time.

“We’ve put ourselves in a great position in the KO Cup Final but still have a job to do to get it over the line.

“But I’m delighted that I’ll be back to have another crack at making the play-offs with Berwick next season.”
