ABLITT IN SCORPIONS RETURN

BRITISH racer Nathan Ablitt is to rejoin Scunthorpe this year after missing out on the 2025 season in the Cab Direct Championship.

The 21-year-old was a KO Cup winner with the Scorpions in 2023 and stayed with the club for the following campaign, but he did not race in the second tier last year.

Scunthorpe manager David Howe said: “I’m very pleased that Nathan is back with the team. I never wanted to lose him.

“In his previous spell with us, he had really improved and settled down, and it was only because certain signings were made early last year that he had to miss out, something that I never wanted.

“I also tried to get him back in the team during last season. He was riding really well at the time, and it was very close, but then that week he got injured, so it put a stop to it.

“I hope that Nathan takes this opportunity with both hands and continues his upward progression and makes himself indispensable.”
