BRUMMIES STAR SLAMS VANDALS

BIRMINGHAM favourite Paco Castagna has slammed the vandals who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to Perry Barr track equipment.

Italian ace Castagna was stunned by images of the damage which was a hammer blow to club bosses approaching the new season – but fans have rallied and raised thousands towards the repairs in order for the Brummies to come to the tapes.

Speaking from his home in Italy, Castagna said: “What happened in Birmingham is something that doesn’t make any sense, these people must be insane. Don’t they have anything else to do?

“I could go on but I would have too many bad things to say, but it is how it is.”
