SKIPPER HAILS BOSS DICKSON

LEICESTER skipper Kyle Howarth is relishing the prospect of linking up with charismatic boss Stewart Dickson.

Howarth is preparing for his first season in the Lions colours after originally joining the club a year ago before the 2020 season was cancelled, and he has been handed the captaincy for their Championship title defence.

He said: “I’m looking forward to working with Stewart, he has a good reputation as a manager and he’s ambitious.

“He wants to win trophies like he did in 2019, and I know about winning the league with Sheffield in 2017 and Wolverhampton the previous year.

“He put a great team together at Leicester in 2019 and they got the job done. As soon as they approached me to join, it was a no-brainer with me looking for a new Championship club.”
