PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v GLASGOW (SCOTTISH CUP)

EDINBURGH bid to regain the Scottish Cup from rivals Glasgow when the teams meet in tonight’s (Friday) second leg at Armadale.

The Monarchs take a six-point lead into the rearranged fixture, although both sides are forced into changes due to injuries and other commitments.

Edinburgh track Tate Zischke and Michael Palm Toft in place of the injured Dan Thompson and European Pairs-bound Paco Castagna.

Meanwhile Glasgow bring in Nick Morris for the retired Kyle Howarth, whilst Ashton Vale and Vinnie Foord stand in at reserve for the injured Freddy Hodder and the unavailable Mario Hausl.

Monarchs boss Alex Harkess said: “We start in front, and normally would be confident with the home leg coming up, though the absentees maybe work against us.

“I still feel we can win as I know the riders are determined to finish the season on a high, and send the supporters home happy.”

Tigers manager Cami Brown said: “It’s going to be really tough after such a poor home defeat in the first leg.

“It’s hard getting a result at Armadale at any time but we also have the task to get 49 points which is even harder.

“But we have good guests. Nick was sensational and unbeaten in six rides for us in the league fixture last month.”

EDINBURGH: Kye Thomson, Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Michael Palm Toft, Tate Zischke, Jordy Loftus, Mitch Cluff.

GLASGOW: Leon Flint, Sam Hagon, Nick Morris, Kevin Juhl Pedersen, Chris Harris, Ashton Vale, Vinnie Foord.

SCB Referee: Willie Dishington
