TIME OUT FOR FOORD

WORKINGTON have confirmed reserve Vinnie Foord is facing up to two months on the sidelines after suffering a fractured knee in a crash at Redcar last week.

Foord came to grief in his final programmed ride when he lifted on the exit of the fourth bend and hit the fence, and his time out of action has been estimated at six to eight weeks.

He said: “Not the start I wanted for my season! At the moment the extent of my injury is unknown and requires further assessment.”
