PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v SHEFFIELD (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn complete their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign at home to play-off qualifiers Sheffield at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Monday).

The Stars have been in good form over the closing weeks with five wins out of six having been able to track a full-strength line-up on a far more regular basis.

Meanwhile the Tigers, who won in Norfolk back in May, have three matches in four days this week as they look to overhaul Ipswich at the top of the table, with home and away fixtures against the Witches to come.

There are changes to the visitors’ riding order with Rising Star Leon Flint moving up into the main body of the team whilst Anders Rowe drops to reserve.

In-form Lynn racer Richard Lawson said: “We want to keep this momentum going and end the season on a high.

“I think everyone has done themselves proud, and since Ben (Cook) has come back it has made a big difference in the pits and on track.

“I’m feeling good on the bike, and it’s good to be winning as team. There is confidence throughout the team, and I just wish we’d had all our riders fit all at once at the beginning of the season, because it’s what could have been.”

Sheffield boss Simon Stead said: “For a Rising Star to move into the main body of the team, it takes an extraordinary effort over a long period of time so a massive well done to Leon for being one of the few riders to achieve that feat.

“It means Anders moves into the reserve berths but if I’m being totally honest, I don’t see it changing too much thankfully.

“At the end of the day, we’ve got three meetings before the play-offs begin to potentially try one or two things, hence we’ve swapped Chris (Holder) and Picko (Josh Pickering), so let’s wait and see what happens!”
