BANDITS MOVE FOR MORRIS

BERWICK have announced the signing of Nick Morris who is set to join the club from the beginning of next month.

The 31-year-old Australian has just completed a two-year suspension imposed for failing to provide a specimen to anti-doping officials at a meeting at Birmingham in 2023.

Morris, who replaces Craig Cook for the Bandits, will be going into his second spell with the club having previously raced for the Shielfield Park side in 2017.

Berwick owner Jamie Courtney said: “In previous years when we have suffered setbacks we have always tried to find replacements for injured and missing riders.

“But this season the stars have really aligned as first Jonas (Jeppesen) and then Nick were not only available but keen to join the Bandits’ cause.

“They are great replacements and will help us push on for that play-off place.”
