PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v PLYMOUTH (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

EDINBURGH manager Alex Harkess says his team have to focus on their own jobs as they prepare to host a Plymouth side complete with new signing Scott Nicholls tonight (Friday).

The Monarchs are fifth in the Cab Direct Championship heading into the meeting, having missed out at Poole on Wednesday, whilst the Gladiators are bottom but only five points adrift of the play-offs.

And with Nicholls making his comeback to racing after a serious shoulder injury sustained last October, the visitors now have a major spearhead as he joins Nicolai Klindt, as well as having the experienced Alfie Bowtell moving to reserve alongside newcomer Arran Butcher.

Plymouth are still without Ben Barker following his appendix operation, with former Monarchs rider Jacob Hook coming in to guest at Armadale.

Harkess said: “I think there are some question marks with riders just coming back, but in any case whoever visits us it is simply up to us to win every match.

“We only have two points to make up on aggregate so I will be expecting our team to take three points.”
