BUCKLE OFF TO LATVIA

BRITISH Youth rider Fraser Buckle, who competed in the FIM Academy in Malilla, Sweden last weekend is now making his way to Latvia for more international experience.

Buckle is competing in the upcoming FIM and FIME 125cc Gold Trophy events which take place at another Grand Prix venue in the capital of Riga.

The events consist of a 20-rider format with Buckle drawn at No.17 for the Saturday event and at No.18 on Sunday.

Buckle said: “Last weekend was an amazing experience and I have learnt so much in just a couple of days, and although my Dad drove 33 hours to get here it was well worth it and we both enjoyed the Academy.

“We are now travelling to Latvia for the two upcoming events this weekend for the 125cc Gold Trophy events for both the FIM and FIM Europe.

“Of course it will be a new track for me, so again I am really excited about the prospect of competing against riders from all over Europe on a new track.

“Prior to travelling to Europe for these events, I have been trying to get as much track time as possible, and I have been pleased to compete in the British Youth rounds at Leicester and Belle Vue, competing for Berwick in the Northern Junior League as well as having lots of laps at my local club Oxford.

“Hopefully all that effort will set me up for a good weekend and we can come away with some good results.”
