PREVIEW: BIRMINGHAM v PLYMOUTH (NDT)

BIRMINGHAM Bulls and Plymouth Centurions clash in the National Development Trophy twice in 24 hours this week, starting at Perry Barr tonight (Monday).

The Bulls have won one of their four matches so far and they have Max James back in their side, but captain Darryl Ritchings is out with concussion. The home side will operate rider replacement.

The Centurions were beaten at Kent in their opener and have now declared Mickie Simpson in their one-to-seven replacing Matt Marson. Teenage sensation Cooper Rushen guests at No.1 with Joe Thompson on Premiership duty.

Birmingham boss Laurence Rogers said: “We may not win the NDT but we have had some good times as a group, and giving these lads extra track time is what the aim has been, with any success on the way a bonus.

“As a group they have been great to work with and have a great spirit between them.”
