PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v KING’S LYNN (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

BELLE Vue return to full strength for their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership clash with King’s Lynn at the National Speedway Stadium tonight (Monday).

The Aces suffered a heavy defeat at Leicester last week in the absence of Brady Kurtz, who now returns to Manchester having won the Gorzow GP on Saturday.

Kurtz and team-mate Dan Bewley finished first and third in the latest World Championship round and are second and fourth respectively in the overall standings.

Opponents King’s Lynn welcome back Ben Cook after over two months out with a broken wrist, but they have been dealt a blow with flying reserve Jan Kvech on the sidelines.

Kvech suffered a dislocated shoulder in a crash during the GP and after an unsuccessful league outing in Poland on Sunday he will sit out the clash, with former Stars rider Anders Rowe coming in to guest.

Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “It’s a tricky fixture against the Stars. They’ve hit some good form recently and are becoming a threat for a top four place. We cannot afford any slip-ups.

“I think we’ve missed having the home meetings to give all the boys that bit of belief from scoring well in Manchester. 

“It’s important that we put on a show for our fans and get some vital points on the board.”

King’s Lynn manager Rob Lyon said: “We had a much better performance at Sheffield than the last time we were there, and the matches there and at Belle Vue are in close succession again as they were earlier in the season.

“Hopefully we can take the confidence from Sheffield into Monday and push Belle Vue to get a good result there. You never know what will happen in speedway, but we will certainly be going for it.”
