FLINT SHOULDER BLOW

LEON Flint faces a spell on the sidelines with a broken left shoulder after a crash in Germany on Sunday.

Flint had scored 11 points for Landshut in their Polish National Speedway League fixture against Krakow, but he then came to grief in Heat 15 with hospital x-rays confirming the break.

Flint’s injury comes as a major blow to ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-off contenders Sheffield, where he was piling up the points in the Rising Star berth.

And it will also be a setback for Glasgow in the Cab Direct Championship with the Tigers chasing Poole at the top of the table.
