BIG WIN FOR CHARGERS

OXFORD moved top of the early WSRA NDL table with a thumping 61-29 win over depleted Edinburgh at Cowley on Sunday.

Chargers captain Jody Scott scored a 15-point maximum and reserve Senna Summers (10+2) was also unbeaten from four rides, whilst Darryl Ritchings collected 12+1.

Reserve Mark Parker top-scored for the Monarchs Academy with 9, with Dayle Wood crashing out early in the meeting with a wrist injury, and their regular middle order trio of Matt Marson, Sam McGurk and Kyran Lyden all missing the trip.

Edinburgh boss Scott Wilson said: “I don’t think there is much I can say after that, everything that could go wrong today did.

“After losing Dayle an uphill task became impossible. I have to give credit to the lads though as they battled on, both on the track and helping each other in the pits. It was all hands on deck.”
