POSTPONED: SHEFFIELD v LEICESTER (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM / WSRA NDL)
SHEFFIELD have reluctantly made an early decision to postpone tonight’s (Monday, May 26) home double against Leicester because of a poor weather forecast.
New dates will be announced in due course.
SHEFFIELD host a Bank Holiday Monday double against Leicester today (Monday, 6.30pm) with both ROWE Motor Oil Premiership and WSRA National Development League action.
The Tigers take on the Lions in the first of several encounters over the coming weeks as the sides are also due to meet in the top-flight KO Cup semi-finals in early June.
Sheffield still boast a 100 per cent home record and also picked up four points on the road last week, whilst the Lions will have a trip up the M1 following their lunchtime clash with Birmingham.
Tigers boss Simon Stead said: “Leicester will come to us on something of a high after winning at Ipswich and they have a very similar looking team who have shown in the past that they can come and give us a challenge.
“Add into the mix our old friend Kyle Howarth and this one has got the potential to be another belter – but let’s try and keep our winning streak going.
“Although the results have been good, I don’t think we’ve hit our stride yet and I think there’s room for improvement within the team – and how exciting is that when you consider how we’ve got started?”
