PREVIEW: GLASGOW v BIRMINGHAM (Champ)

GLASGOW look to complete an unbeaten home campaign when they host Birmingham at Ashfield tonight (Friday).

The Tigers will move back above Poole in the race for second place with a win, but are without No.1 Craig Cook after his crash at Edinburgh last week.

They operate rider replacement for Cook whilst former Glasgow man Paul Starke comes in to guest for sidelined skipper Ulrich Ostergaard.

The Brummies are still without several riders and hand guest bookings to Ricky Wells, Theo Pijper, Zach Cook and Max Clegg, with r/r in operation for Ashley Morris.

Tigers boss Cami Brown said: “We’re very proud of our home record and I think we’re building momentum at home. We need to keep that going.

“Birmingham maybe aren’t the strongest team but they will likely come with good guests and they will give us a test. We don’t take anyone lightly.

“We’ve dropped two points at home this season against Poole, when some of our riders weren’t riding well, but I don’t think if they were here now Poole would find it so easy.”

Brummies boss Laurence Rogers said: “Glasgow is not an easy place to go to and they’ve been racking up some big scores at home again of late.

“But we’ll go there and do our best and as always, I hope to see another battling performance from our guests and two regular Brummies in Sedgy (Justin Sedgmen) and Little P (James Pearson).”
