PREVIEW: BIRMINGHAM v REDCAR (Champ)

BIRMINGHAM have booked their former rider Paco Castagna to guest in tonight’s (Wednesday) Championship clash with Redcar.

Castagna, who steps in for the injured Josh Auty, was a popular figure in his two seasons at Perry Barr before moving to Edinburgh last winter.

The Brummies otherwise track a full line-up with Claus Vissing back in the side after Danish commitments, whilst the play-off chasing Bears are at full-strength.

Birmingham co-owner Nigel Tolley said: “Just for a change, everything more-or-less went our way against Plymouth (last Wednesday) and we came away with the kind of result that we should’ve been getting a lot more times this season.

“It was important to get some more league points on the table and although Redcar also look like another strong team, the riders will be able to carry through some confidence from that win over Plymouth I’m sure.”

BIRMINGHAM: Claus Vissing, Stefan Nielsen, Paco Castagna, Ashley Morris, Justin Sedgmen, James Shanes, James Pearson.
REDCAR: Charles Wright, Adam Roynon, Erik Riss, Kasper Andersen, Lewis Kerr, Jason Edwards, Jordan Jenkins.
