PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v WOLVERHAMPTON (Prem)

BELLE Vue look to reverse the course of recent history when they face Wolverhampton at the National Speedway Stadium tonight (Monday).

Wolves have remarkably won the last eight meetings between the sides home and away, including a League Cup double at the start of the season.

The Aces return to full strength after Max Fricke and Norick Blodorn missed last week’s home match against Ipswich, and Wolves also track their normal septet for a clash of the sides second and third in the Premiership table.

Belle Vue boss Mark Lemon said: “Wolverhampton had the better of us in the League Cup so we’re very keen to return the favour and maintain our unblemished home league record.

“They are a strong side, they’ve got some very capable riders who love to ride the National Speedway Stadium track so we are exercising caution for this meeting.

“But at the same time, we are quietly confident of our ability on home shale and I’ve every faith in the team to deliver, as they have under challenging circumstances already.”

Wolves manager Peter Adams said: “Belle Vue have got a very good team. They’ve certainly improved since the last time we were there.

“But we’re doing alright on our travels, we’ve beaten them the last eight times on the bounce and we’ll be looking to make it nine on Monday.”
