LIONS SKIPPER BACKS TWINS

LEICESTER captain Kyle Howarth is backing youngsters Dan and Joe Thompson to take their career up another level this year.

The twins are both included in the Lions’ Championship team along with the Lion Cubs side at National Development League level.

Howarth said: “The Thompson boys both had a great season last year in the Championship.

“They have now ridden most tracks, so they will have a rough idea what to expect this year knowing they have been there.

“They are both good lads so I’m confident they can push on, they just need to enjoy themselves and keep working hard and the results will come. I’m sure they will both have a huge part to play in Leicester doing well this season.”
