SHOW GOES ON FOR CHARGERS

OXFORD co-promoter Jamie Courtney has revealed how a new shale delivery helped Wednesday’s WSRA National Development League match take place – and for it to produce a highly entertaining spectacle.

The Chargers’ home clash with King’s Lynn was in severe doubt due to weather conditions but the club took the decision to press ahead and were rewarded with excellent racing in a 50-40 home win.

Courtney said: “On Tuesday, I was all ready to send a message telling everyone the meeting was off, because the track was a soggy mess after all the recent rain.

 “A big thank you to Wayne Hutt who helped me get the track back into shape. We’ve been waiting for a while for some new shale to be delivered. We’ve now got it and everyone can see the difference that it has made – because it was a great meeting.”
