PREVIEW: MIDDLESBROUGH v OXFORD (WSRA NDL)

OXFORD have the chance to wrap up the WSRA National Development League title when they travel to Middlesbrough today (Saturday).

Victory in their final fixture would secure a second NDL crown in three years for the Chargers – but if they slip up on Teesside, the door would still be open for either Edinburgh or Leicester.

Peter Schroeck’s side bring in Harry Fletcher to guest for the injured Max Broadhurst but they are otherwise at full strength, whilst the Tigers have Mason Watson guesting for Jamie Halder along with a reserve combination of Liam Greens and Kieran Douglas.

Schroeck said: “We’ll place no pressure on the boys and we’ll be treating it like a normal meeting. Those lads work so well together as a team, and they always want to win.

“They just need to get stuck in, help each other out and enjoy their afternoon and we’ll see where we are come the end of the meeting.”

Middlesbrough manager Brian Turner said: “We are out to spoil the party for Oxford. We don’t have a full 1-7 but we will be looking for another home victory.

“We need to get going right from the off. It’s disappointing that we are without our reserve pairing but hopefully our two reserves can bag some points.”
