PREVIEW: MIDDLESBROUGH v EDINBURGH (WSRA NDL)
MIDDLESBROUGH reach the halfway stage of their WSRA National Development League campaign when they host Edinburgh at Redcar today (Sunday).
The Tigers won their home opener against Steelers and will move up to second in the league table with a win.
They name a full-strength line-up with Ace Pijper taking over at No.1 and Kai Ward moving up into the top five.
The visitors include newcomer Jordy Loftus for his debut whilst Dayle Wood is back from injury, but rider replacement is in operation for Matt Marson who is on compassionate leave.
Middlesbrough racer Tom Spencer said: “I’m happy with how we have done, we have run every team close away from home.
“We had a big home win and picked up the aggregate point last time out and with the away results we have the chance to pick up more.
“I beat (Edinburgh) No.1 Connor Coles on his home track earlier this season which was good for my confidence and Dayle Wood is just coming back from injury; overall, I am confident.”
